Argumentative Essay Topics

Argumentative Essay TopicsThe most common argumentative essay topics are sex, religion, and race. Argumentative essays are written to answer specific questions or to address a set of issues that you would like to address in class. But before you can choose a topic for your argumentative essay, you need to do some research first! The most common argumentative essay topics are on sex, religion, and race. Although these three topics are at the forefront of every person's mind, they are topics that are not often tackled in class. Plus, since they are all controversial subjects, they lend themselves well to arguments about morality and ethics. So why do I suggest these three?Sex and Religion: In recent years, many news reports have focused on sex scandals, including abortion and sex between clergy members. The subject of sex is an intensely controversial one, and many topics on the subject are also controversial. With both topics, however, you will find that it is easy to take a strong sta nd on either side and draw the line of division.Race and Culture: With all the negative attention given to the racial issue, it is no wonder that race is still a hot topic in schools today. And with the explosion of the news media's coverage of race relations, one can hardly blame students for wanting to write about the topic. In addition, unlike the other two topics, there is little chance that students will be able to draw a 'no' side in the controversy over race. Finally, it has been found that using humor when writing about race works very well with some students, and I believe that this is also true for writing about sex and religion.Lastly, the most interesting argumentative essay topics to write are religious and ethical. This is a subject that many students are passionate about and will have a tendency to write in an opinionated tone. If you can manage to gain their support through your arguments, you will definitely have a good argument.Moral issues and Ethics: This is a to pic that is more than important enough to tackle. And since this is the most common topic for arguments, you will have to do a little research before you start. There are many places that you can go to find information about morality and ethics, and once you get the hang of it, writing about the topic should be relatively easy. The first thing you need to remember when you are choosing your argumentative essay topics is that the topic you choose does not have to be controversial. It can be anything that is relevant to the course or even something that you have a strong opinion about. I usually write about controversial topics, but if you do not have the time to do so, I have included a list of popular topics below.Moral and Ethical: Abortion, Affirmative Action, Child Abuse, Contraception, Divorce, Don't Ask, Don't Tell, Dilemma, Environment, Divorce, Feudalism, Gay Marriage, Global Warming, Government Grants, Health Care, Homosexuality, Laws, Immigration, Informed Consent, Insurance , Private Schools, Privatization, Religion, Sex, Slavery, and Suicide. These are my arguments for the best argumentative essay topics to write about.
